Playground: Pablo Picasso

A man like a whirlwind. It’s incredible what he achieved; a skilled painter from a young age, yet you couldn’t immediately tell from that how he would go on to develop into the artist who, like a jack-of-all-trades, dabbled in everything, trying his hand at it all. A sort of homo universalis.

That’s why he’s one of my heroes. Not so much as a person (like many great artists, he left a trail of destruction in the lives of those who loved him), but certainly as an artist.
